Mark Display Name
Open Core Settings → Exam → Exam Settings → Class Grading Policy. Only this section contains Mark Display Name; it no longer appears above other exam settings. Save the Oral and Written display names with the existing Save display names button. This remains a school-wide label setting, not a separate setting per class. Existing marks, calculations and award-list management permission are unchanged.
Choose Oral and Written display names
Open Core Settings → Exam → Exam Settings → Class Grading Policy → Mark Display Name. Enter the names your school uses, such as Assessment Test and Assessment 2, then choose Save display names. Each name can have up to 60 characters. Leave a name blank to restore Oral or Written. A login with award-list management permission can save names; other users can read them.
Reopen award-list creation, update, marks entry or print views and examination result cards to read the saved names. Date-sheet types also show the saved names, including the combined type. The Teacher app uses them on award-list creation and marks entry from version 7.5.11; the Parent app reads them when reopening a published date sheet. Existing marks, grades, totals and calculations stay the same. Saving names does not send messages.
Date Sheet and award-list dates are separate
To change a Date Sheet entry, use Exam & Attendance → Date Sheet and Roll Number Slip → Date Sheet → Edit → Exam Date → Update. Your existing Date Sheet permission and campus access are required. The Teacher App has no Date Sheet editor. An award-list date is separate: on the web use Update Marks → Edit → Exam Date → Update Award List. The Teacher App can choose the date when creating a new subject list; the date shown for an existing list is not an edit control. No automatic change to dates already saved on student results is promised.
Open Update Date Sheet
Open Exam & Attendance → Date Sheet and Roll Number Slip → Date Sheet → Edit.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless you save another default. Try the new layout and View old layout switch both ways. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. Failed default saves keep your previous choice and offer Retry. Switching on this page keeps its current inputs and page address. Other links keep their original destinations.
Original scope
Classes remain fixed on Update. Change the original name, title and subject-row fields. Turning off Time or Syllabus clears those values. Browser Print keeps the original form and subject rows. A layout switch retains the same sheet identifier and draft and does not save it.
Loading and recovery
The new layout disables data controls during required reads or Save. Failed reads hide stale values and offer Retry for the failed scope. The draft is retained while Save is pending; original subject-row identifiers and validation stay unchanged.
