Personal Information BS SOLUTIONS Collects and How It Is Used:
a. Why We Collect Information
BS SOLUTIONS collects information in different ways from Visitors who access the various parts of our Website, or use our Services, and subscribers . We use this information to provide a customized experience as you use our Services. We also collect technical information such as IP addresses and the date and time of visits. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our servers and to administer our Web site. We also use it to identify and protect us against malicious hackers or abusers.
School sign-in location
Each new school sign-in on EMS web, Teacher App and Owner App requires a fresh device location and its accuracy before sign-in can finish. Collection happens in the foreground during sign-in; these apps do not collect location in the background for this feature. Login location records are kept in the school’s private CRM account for 90 days. When repeated locations consistently identify one area, selected coordinates are sent to Google Maps Geocoding to obtain a full address and city. This automatic address is read-only and does not change the school’s entered address. Inconsistent readings do not produce an address. The public school directory does not request or collect visitor location.
EDUBase Admin usage and error analytics
EDUBase Admin uses EDUBase services and Mixpanel to understand app usage and diagnose errors. Information sent for these purposes can include your school or institute code, account username, a generated app or device identifier, app version and device information, and usage events such as sign-in, sessions and screens opened. Mixpanel also uses the network IP address to derive approximate location, such as city, region or country, for analytics. Mixpanel automatically receives a crash event and the exception reason when the app crashes; that reason can contain text from the error. This information helps us investigate faults and improve the app.
Optional AI features
When you choose to use an AI feature, EDUBase processes your prompts and the school context relevant to your request that your account is authorized to access. This can also include content from files or images, or audio that you choose to submit. EDUBase sends content for the requested feature to the AI providers configured for that feature to generate answers, analyze submitted content or provide speech services. Some Live voice modes connect your device directly to the AI provider to exchange audio and session data; other modes send this through EDUBase.
b. What We do With This Information
BS SOLUTIONS uses the analytics and AI providers described above to process information for operating our services and providing requested features. Outside this processing, we generally do not share personal information with third parties. We will not sell personal information regarding our visitors or service users. Any information that you give to us is held with the utmost care and security. However, we may disclose personal information collected if we have received your permission beforehand or in very special circumstances, such as when we believe that such disclosure is required by law or other special cases described below.
c. Responses to Email Inquiries
When Visitors send email inquiries to BS SOLUTIONS, the return email address is used to answer the email inquiry we receive. BS SOLUTIONS does not use the return email address for any other purpose and does not share the return email address with any third party.
d. Special Cases
It is BS SOLUTIONS policy not to use or share the personal information about Visitors. However, BS SOLUTIONS may disclose personal information about Visitors, or information regarding your use of the Services or Web site accessible through our Services, for any reason if, in our sole discretion, we believe that it is reasonable to do so, including: to satisfy laws, such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, regulations, or governmental or legal requests for such information; to disclose information that is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone, or to protect BS SOLUTIONS.
e. “Cookies” and How BS SOLUTIONS Uses Them
A “cookie” is a small data file that can be placed on your hard drive when you visit certain Web sites. BS SOLUTIONS may use cookies to store and collect information, which is needed for BS SOLUTIONS to work properly. We also may use cookies to track information for statistical purposes to improve the services we provide. These cookies do not enable third parties to access any of your customer information. Advertisers and partners (like Google) may also use their own cookies. We do not control use of these cookies and expressly disclaim responsibility for information collected through them.
f. BS SOLUTIONS Commitment to Data Security
