Opening unpaid earnings on the first salary
In HRM → Salary → Create Salary Plan or Update Salary Plan, an earning head’s Balance carries unpaid earnings from before the employee’s first salary in EDUBase. Calculate Salary includes that opening amount once in the first generated salary, together with current earnings. The opening amount is not reduced by the current month’s joining-date proration. Later salaries do not repeat it. Existing salaries keep their saved amounts, and the existing maximum and deduction recovery rules continue to apply. Review the calculation before generating. If another user changed the first-salary calculation, recalculate and review again.
Open Update Salary Plan
Open HRM → Salary → Update Salary Plan. Salary is the menu heading above the existing link.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless you save another default. Try the new layout and View old layout switch both ways. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. Failed default saves keep the previous choice and offer Retry. Switching views retains current inputs and the page address; it does not save salary settings.
Original salary scope
Update and Create share this layout choice. Keep the original campus and employee filters, server pages, employee checkboxes and existing salary values. Update Salary Plan saves only checked employees and still requires at least one selection. Earnings and deductions retain their amount, maximum and balance values; attendance, increment and lecture salary options keep their original calculations and permissions. New server data reseeds the form as before; switching layouts keeps the current draft.
Increment sheet and Print
The existing Print Salary Increment Sheet action requests a separate preview for its month, campus and extra columns. Print and Close preview retain their original actions. Requesting a sheet does not update the salary plan. Native Print retains the original rendered scope; no Excel or PDF action is added.
Loading and recovery
Protected data controls are disabled during required reads or Update. Retry salary plan reads retries exact failed active reads. Original loading and failure messages remain, with the previous successful body retained but hidden until recovery. Close preview keeps its original behavior.
