Student Assignments

Set assignments, track pending work, review multimedia submissions and award marks on Web, Teacher App and Parents App.

Teacher App form and menu layout

In Teacher App 7.5.19 or later → Student Management, actions appear two per row. In Student Assignments → Create assignment, the form remains scrollable while the keyboard is open so lower fields stay reachable.

Student Assignments

Open General → Student Assignments. Create an assignment with a title, optional instructions and multimedia, campus, class, section and subject. Enter the sent date, due date and positive total marks before saving. The due date must be on or after the sent date. Up to ten files of 20 MB each, with a combined limit of 90 MB, are supported: images, audio, video, PDF, Office documents and text. Assignments become visible to parents on their sent date. Saving does not send SMS, WhatsApp, email or app notifications.

Recipients and report

Saving records the currently active students in the selected section. Later new admissions are not added automatically, and a class move does not erase a child's assigned work. Filter the assignment list, open the report, and use Pending, Submitted or Graded to inspect each student's status. Pending means no submission; Submitted means the latest attempt needs grading; Graded means the latest attempt has marks. Lists and student reports have page controls. Assignment dates, instructions and total marks are fixed after creation.

Review and marks

Open the student's submitted text and files. Award marks from zero up to the assignment's total and optionally write feedback. Review the latest attempt: if a newer submission arrives while you are grading, refresh the report. Previous attempts, files and marks remain available in the attempt history. A new submission returns the child to Submitted, awaiting review. Work can be submitted after the due date; compare the submitted date with the due date when reviewing late work.

Teacher App

In Teacher App 7.5.17 or later, open Student Management → Student Assignments. Create work using one of your assigned class and subject cards, attach files, set dates and marks, then save. Review your assignments and web-created assignments for your currently assigned subjects and classes. Open a student submission and award marks with feedback. Previously authored assignments stay available to their teacher. Student names and details use readable dark text. Past-due pending students show red with “Overdue · Pending”; submitted and graded students show green with their written status. A task due today remains pending until the next school-server day; late submissions remain allowed.

Parents App

In Parents App 12.2.14 or later, select the child and open Academics → Student Assignments. Open an assignment to read the instructions and download files. Write an answer, attach multimedia or both, then Submit. Re-submit creates a new attempt and keeps previous work and feedback; only the newest attempt determines the current status and marks. Retry a failed save from the same screen without discarding your answer or attachments. Refresh after an uncertain save to check what reached the teacher.

Separate modules and access

Student Assignments uses the current submission and grading system. Legacy homework links are retired. Ordinary classwork and homework remain under Student Diary; historical homework is not converted into graded assignments. Student Notes and Vacation Work show only their own approved content and attachments, never ordinary Diary work or one another’s content. Web administrators grant General → Student Assignments in Users & Privileges, with its allowed campuses. Existing Diary permission does not automatically grant the new staff page. Teachers use their authenticated Teacher App identity; parents need their signed-in session for a linked child, and the school's existing Diary app restrictions apply. Attachments are private and open through temporary links; a parent cannot read another child's submissions.
