Choose your Edit Award List view

Choose New or Old for Edit Award List while keeping the same page and controls.

Mark Display Name

Open Core Settings → Exam → Exam Settings → Class Grading Policy. Only this section contains Mark Display Name; it no longer appears above other exam settings. Save the Oral and Written display names with the existing Save display names button. This remains a school-wide label setting, not a separate setting per class. Existing marks, calculations and award-list management permission are unchanged.

Choose Oral and Written display names

Open Core Settings → Exam → Exam Settings → Class Grading Policy → Mark Display Name. Enter the names your school uses, such as Assessment Test and Assessment 2, then choose Save display names. Each name can have up to 60 characters. Leave a name blank to restore Oral or Written. A login with award-list management permission can save names; other users can read them.

Reopen award-list creation, update, marks entry or print views and examination result cards to read the saved names. Date-sheet types also show the saved names, including the combined type. The Teacher app uses them on award-list creation and marks entry from version 7.5.11; the Parent app reads them when reopening a published date sheet. Existing marks, grades, totals and calculations stay the same. Saving names does not send messages.

Apply award-list corrections to existing results

Open Exam & Attendance → Marks & Results → Update Marks → Edit. Correct the subject’s Oral, Written, Exam Date or Test Type, then press Update Award List. These saved header changes apply to students whose results already exist on that list, without reopening and saving each student’s marks. Reopen a marks sheet or report that was already displayed to see the correction. Obtained marks and recorded absent/leave statuses stay as entered. Newly admitted students still use the separate Add New Student action.

Changing an existing exam date

In the Teacher App, Add Marks → Create Award List lets you choose the Exam Date for a new subject list. The date displayed for an existing list is not an edit control. To change an existing award list, use the web: Exam & Attendance → Marks & Results → Update Marks → Edit → Exam Date → Update Award List. Your existing Award List permission and campus access are required; assigning a subject in the app does not grant this permission. Changing list metadata does not guarantee that dates already saved on individual student results change too.

A Date Sheet entry is separate from an award list. Edit its date on Date Sheet, using the Date Sheet permission.

Open Edit Award List

Open Award Lists and use the existing edit control on the award list you want to change. Existing access permissions remain unchanged.

Choose your layout

Classic opens first unless you save another default. Use Try the new layout or View old layout to switch. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. If saving a default fails, your previous choice remains; try saving again. Switching keeps the same page and its current choices.

Keep the original controls

The same award list fields, subjects and save controls remain. Switching layouts does not save changes. Existing loading and error behavior remains.
