Sort by Remaining before printing
In Admissions → Fee Defaulters Total Amount or Fee Defaulters Family Wise, choose Sort by → Remaining. Use the ascending arrow for smallest balances first or descending for largest balances first. The server orders student balances before paging, using the same included challans, payments, discounts and fee freezes as the displayed Remaining amount. Future Challans keeps its existing meaning. Use Default order to reset.
Family Wise keeps each family’s loaded children together with their subtotal. Families follow the first child encountered in the sorted response; this sorts student balances, not family subtotals. A family can continue on another page. Browser Print keeps the loaded order and rows; exports use checked rows, or the loaded grid when none are checked. Printing and sorting record no payment and send no message. Month Wise retains its existing sort choices.
Default order when printing
Admissions → Fee Defaulters → Total Amount starts in the school’s class order, then section order, then roll number. The default is already applied by the server before paging. An explicit sort changes the loaded report order. Browser Print keeps the loaded rows in their current order and does not fetch other pages; choose the needed page size and filters before printing. Amounts and totals are unchanged.
Filters on one row
Open Admissions → Fee Defaulters Total Amount. The top row holds Number of Months, Promise Date, Filter Range and Clear filters.
Number of Months offers 1 to 4 months, 5+ months, or Custom (N or more)…. Choose Custom, type a number such as 8 and press Apply (or Enter) to list students with that many or more unpaid billed months (Custom 3 lists students with 3, 4, 5 or more unpaid months). The menu then reads, for example, 3 or more months.
Filter Range opens a small box for the remaining amount. Type the From and To amounts and press Apply (or Enter). If From is more than To, or a value is missing, the box says what to fix. While a range is active the button shows it; Clear range removes it. Students whose fee is frozen are not counted as defaulters.
Message templates under the message box
The Fee Defaulters and Family-wise Fee Reminder template buttons sit directly under the message box. Pressing one fills the box; you can still edit the text. Nothing is sent until you tick students and use Send SMS.
Open Fee Defaulters Total Amount
Open Admissions → Fee Defaulters Total Amount.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless you save another default. Try the new layout and View old layout switch both ways. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. Failed default saves keep your previous choice and offer Retry. These three reports share one layout choice. Switching on the same report keeps its filters, page size, page number and checked rows. Existing links to other screens keep their original handling.
Original report scope
The summary cards describe all rows matching the server filters; the grid Grand Total describes the loaded page. Pending months, Remaining Amount Range, Future Challans, All Students and Promise Date keep their original requests. No Pay action is added. The existing selected-student SMS action keeps its message and delivery choices; it sends only when you use the original action and confirmation.
Promise Date and Comments save automatically
Promise Date saves on blur. Comments save on blur or after two seconds without typing. Switching layouts retains the edited cells and the Comment timer, so a pending Comment may save once while the old layout is visible. Clicking the layout switch may also blur an edited field and save it. A layout change does not cancel these original saves.
Files and browser Print
Excel and PDF export checked rows, or the loaded grid when none are checked. Browser Print includes all loaded rows and their original totals regardless of checked rows; it does not fetch more pages. The original wide report may need browser landscape or scaling. Search, paging and column choices retain their original behavior.
Loading and recovery
In the new layout, failed or pending report and column-setting reads hide stale rows and print and block report controls. Retry loads the failed query again. Existing access and financial values remain unchanged.
